New Delhi, March 16
In a move to encourage research in Sikhism and understand comparative studies with other religions, a Centre for Sikh Studies and Comparative Religions was today set up in SGTB Khalsa College in the Capital. The centre has been set up on the occasion of the golden jubilee celebrations of the college affiliated to the Delhi University.

The DSGMC president, Mr Avatar Singh Hit, who inaugurated the centre, expressed optimism that the centre would prove to be a centre of excellence by undertaking path breaking research and providing an insight into Sikhism.
