IRISH unit U2 is one of the most popular Rock band in the world. U2 began their musical career at a school in Dublin back in 1977. The members of the group are Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr. Earlier the name of the group was ‘Hype.’ They changed the name to U2 in 1978. The band has also worked for Live Aid, Ireland’s Self Aid, and Amnesty International, which show their commitment towards philanthropy. In March 2000, the Bono-scripted movie ‘The Million Dollar Hotel’ was released. The soundtrack included the new U2 track "The Ground Beneath Her Feet", featuring lyrics by novelist Salman Rushdie. The song was featured on ‘All That You Can't Leave Behind’. The chart-topping "Beautiful Day" won three Grammy awards. In Grammy awards this year U2 won song of the year; record of the year and best rock performance by duo or group with vocal.

U2.com is the official Website of U2. It provides news of singles, albums, videos, tours and other performances of the band. It also provides reports and information what Larry, Adam, Bono and Edge are saying or doing. It also provides information about the two decades of band's career in the form of editorial, photographs, video and soundtrack material of the band. Web-chat is the section where we can interact with the band as the band members takes active role in U2.com. The members of the group and the date and time are given when they will interact with fans.
