Turbocharge your stamina

Watch the magic of just a whiff
Watch the magic of just a whiff

IN this day and age of killer careers, unflagging social schedules and deadline-defined lives, your stamina always heads in one direction—down! Before your fast-paced life drains you of all your energy and zest, recharge your batteries through a few simple tactics.

Affirmation

Positive reaffirmation goes a long way in giving you a psychological boost. So take ‘self praise’ seriously. Think and even say aloud sentences like - ‘I am the best,’ ‘I can beat all’ etc. Dream all your fantasies and visualise them coming true. This will reinforce your self-confidence.

Ha, ha, hee, hee...

Besides giving your mood a boost, laughter gives you an added dosage of oxygen, which enhances alertness, as by then your body is already depleted.

Drink water

Have a glass at regular intervals. When you feel dehydrated, you feel exhausted. So get waterlogged before you get drained.

Light magic

A good dose of bright light can be a great energy booster. Take a five-minute walk in the sunlight at mid-afternoon to get nourishing rays of the sun.

Good scents

Aromathe rapy has an answer for reasons of feeling burnt out. Get hold of aromatheropy candles or oils and watch the magic of just a whiff.

Believe in breakfast

Don’t see breakfast as just a minor snack, but as the best way for anybody to prepare for the day. Our brain needs fuel to think, walk, talk and carry on activities. Skipping it deprives the body of its much needed morning refuelling.
