Winter in the hills

Earth is covered with snow,

I see a lonely black crow.

All people are inside warm rooms,

Housetops look like huge fresh mushrooms.

Is the crow going to die hungry and cold?

Suddenly came out a lady wrinkled and old,

She threw in the lane some garbage,

The crow cawed its thanks and began to rummage.

Windy day

The earth was brown with mud,

The sky was blue,

The wind was blowing like a flood,

The boat was moving with its crew.

The day is remembered by me,

It was a beautiful sight.

I was sitting near the sea,

The children were flying a kite.

There was great enjoyment on that day,

The evening had a purple hue.

I was happy on that day,

On hearing the sound of wind that blew.

The rumbling waves could be seen in the sea,

The leaves were rustling.

They were being shed by the tree,

The people were singing.

Wind rattled the window panes,

It was gushing.

Everyone thought that it would rain,

So, everyone to their homes went rushing.

It’s memory is still fresh in my mind,

As if it was a daydream of some kind.

Long way to go

I want to be an intellectua,

To handle every situation in life.

I want to cross deserts,

To realise hard realities of time.

I want to go through many doors,

To find a place Icall my own.

I want to swim oceans,

To enjoy taste of success.

I want to care for others,

To become a caring person.

I want to give all to parents,

To get the blessings I seek the most.

I want to get salvation,

To hear the God in silence.

I want to do good to others,

To give better account of my deeds.

I want to determine my destiny,

To make life more meaningful.
