Afghan men carry bags filled with US wheat at a United Nations warehouse in the outskirts of Quetta on Saturday. The wheat is to be transported to thousands of Afghan refugees trapped at the border crossing of Chaman with Pakistan, 100 km southeast of the Afghan city of Kandahar. A first UNHCR airlift arrived today in Quetta with 9,800 plastic sheets and will be followed by airlifts with other much-needed relief items from stocks in Copenhagen. —REUTERS
