Paramedic staff give treatment to a Pakistani man injured in a grenade attack at an anti-terrorism rally in Karachi on September 26. Thousands of Pakistanis had gathered to express "solidarity with the international community and against terrorism" and to honour the victims of the September 11 attacks in New York and Washington. Unknown people lobbed a hand-grenade into the crowd at the rally, injuring at least 11 persons, the police said. —REUTERS
