Ranga

ONE of the most handsome actors on the silver screen whose films were box office hits, Dev Anand was at the Press Club of India in 1989 in Delhi to have a luncheon meeting with media persons. He regaled the audience with his wit and humour. Age had no effect on him. Still young and energetic, the evergreen hero became the object of curiosity. I drew his sketch to get his autograph on it. His response was spontaneous when I showed him his sketch. He took the sketch and held it aloft for the audience to have a look at it before he signed on it with his remark, "I am flattered".
