Ludhiana Club win Ludhiana, June 24 Put into bat first, the Ludhiana Club made 114 runs losing seven wickets in the allotted 30 overs. Tarun Passi was top scorer with 30 runs and he was followed by Yogesh (17), Gaurav Dawar (14) and Vanit Sehgal (17). For the Coaching Centre, Bharat and Arjun Puri claimed one wicket each conceding 11 and 6 runs, respectively. Chasing a victory target of 115 runs, the Coaching Centre were all out for 86 runs. Only Garry could reach the double figure mark of 10. Yogesh of the Ludhiana Club was the most successful bowler who clinched three wickets for just 13 runs. Gaurav, Arshdeep and Sushant took one wicket each. Atul Kohli and Lalit Malhotra of the Coaching Centre were adjudged the best batsman and best bowler respectively. Yogesh of the Ludhiana Club was declared the best allrounder. Tarun Passi of Ludhiana Club was named player of the tournament, while Romi of Desraj Coaching Centre was declared the best wicket-keeper. Mr Darshan Dawar, President Beopar Mandal and Joint Secretary, Knitwear Club gave away the prizes. |
