Rid your fridge of
odours
SINCE
refrigerators are put to maximum use in the hot, summer months—what
with the excessive demand for chilled water, loads of ice, etc— it is
essential to keep them spotlessly clean and odour-free.

Certain simple steps
can be followed to defrost your refrigerator, clean the inner shelves
and to put it to optimum use by storing in it things other than the
conventional eatables and drinks.
-
To speed up
defrosting, use a hairdryer to blow hot air into the refrigerator.
-
You can prevent its
door from closing during defrosting by placing a folded towel on the
door.
-
Take out all
removable shelves and drawers and wash them with a soapy solution.
-
To clean the
interior, dissolve 1 tsp of soda bicarbonate in a bowl of warm water
and wipe all nooks and crannies with this solution.
-
To reach small
corners and to clean the grooved areas, you can use an old
tooothpaste dipped in the solution.
-
Dry off with a
towel. Then again wipe with a moist cloth dipped in glycerine.
