Last night, I had a dream, which appeared to be strange indeed. I saw myself with Tom and Jerry, eating sweet cakes and making merry. I flew on a witch’s magic broom, with a jet speed from earth to moon. But suddenly I saw a brown star, filled with sweets and chocobar. My mouth started watering at the sight, I sped towards the star, with my eyes bright. I ate a lot of
icecreams, toffees and chocolates, and packed a few for my parents,
teachers and classmates. |
I was caught inside a giant blue bubble. Here came before me a scary witch, to steal my broomstick. My face grew pale and hands numb, I stood before her like a fool and dumb. To see my eyes filled with tears, she forgave me, as tears she couldn’t bear. Suddenly she turned into a charming fairy. She blessed me with work hard and a life merry. The fairy was about to kiss my forehead. I opened my eyes, as I had fallen from my bed. Alas! My dream was over, but I long to see my fairy. — Nandita Sahajpal, VIII-C, Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School Sector 26, Chandigarh. My dog My dog is good, But does not wear a hood. He is an Alsatian, not a Dalmatian. His is tall, loves to play with a ball. He runs so fast, like a deer in haste. He guards my house, but does not catch mouse. When it grows dark, he howls with a loud bark. He likes to chase cat but not the monkeys who are fat. He obeys my order, but does not allow me to sprinkle on his body some powder. He is mischievous but this thing is obvious. — Tanuj Kalia,
