Jaldi.com to power Tata e-com venture

JALDI.COM, one of the India’s e-tailing portal and leading e-commerce service provider has announced an alliance with TataNova.com, a portal from Tata Internet Services Ltd. As a part of the agreement, the two will set up a co-branded e-commerce site for end consumers.

As TataNova.com’s e-commerce service provider, Jaldi.com will provide content as well as technology and fulfilment services to TataNova.com. Rediff.com, MantraOnline.com and Go4i.com are some of the other sites that have subscribed to Jaldi’s commerce Services. The Jaldi-TataNova site will leverage content, technology and infrastructure investments that have been made in Jaldi.com, including its payment gateway, online CRM services and logistics and fulfillment services.

Jaldi recently re-aligned its business model with a focus on adding new revenue streams to its e-tailing business, to ensure long-term sustenance and success in the B2C e-commerce segment.

 


Commenting on the alliance, Mr. R.K Caprihan, CEO Jaldi.com said, "The e-commerce industry holds a lot of promise, and it’s evident that Indian business acknowledge that. At the same time there is an increasing realisation that significant technology and infrastructure investment goes into building a successful e-commerce venture. This is where we come in — having been around since the inception of this industry in India, we have the required domain expertise and infrastructure backing to meet their needs."

The jaldi.com portal features products ranging from household, kitchenware, electronics and personal care to health and fitness, lifestyle and sports products. The portal already lists over 100 partners featuring their products on the site.
