Anjuman brings PAU to life

LUDHIANA, March 3 — Anjuman 2001 brought the PAU campus alive with different mehfils of students from 15 colleges participating in varied activities. It was organised by the Management Science Association, Department of Business Management, PAU, Ludhiana. The function was inaugurated by G.S. Kalkat, Vice-Chancellor, PAU. The management festival gave the students a break from their routine of studies and provided them with a platform to display their talent. In taal se chaal mila, students improvised dancing steps whereas in jhankar and sargam they displayed their singing talents. In doodled doo, students had to make cartoons of political figures and in Rangoli, the girls prepared pleasing patterns and colour schemes.

The quiz show brain tax and bhujo to jane were also held. Other events were treasure hunt, churi, parandi contest, masquerade and egg catching. In ad mad show, they had to sell ludicrous products in the best possible way in three minutes. Other contests were sultan of shhh, best friend, flower arrangement, collage making, choreography and mehndi contest.

A mock press conference was held, in which students had to enact the roles of the politicians. Some of the competitions were held in Pal Auditorium whereas others were held outdoors. The grand finale would be infusion, a fashion show. The Dean of Department of MBA, Dr M.A. Zahir, said the co-curricular activities provided students with a break from studies and as it was being organised by the students themselves, it had great significance for learning the process of organisation. They learnt the importance of time management and this festival enabled them to develop intrapersonal skills, according to Dr Zahir.

The teams from SAS Nagar, Moga, Jalandhar, CDC, Ambala and various colleges of PAU interacted with each other and exchanged views.
