Barcelona rubbish collector Roberto Casanova uses a hand-held computer as he controls a rubbish bin fitted with a microchip in Barcelona. The town's city council announced it will equip its 18,000 litter bins with the chips that allow the collectors to see how full the bin is, the last time it was emptied, and even if it needs new paint.
