Antakshri, quiz at KVM

LUDHIANA, Dec 22 — An inter-house quiz for students of Classes VI to VIII was held at Kundan Vidya Mandir, city branch, here today.

Three teams of four students each participated. There were 22 rounds which had questions on current affairs, mythology, UNO, awards, currencies and sports. A live music round was also held in which Ms Sushma Mehan, music teacher, sang songs and questions pertaining to singers, directors, lyricists and films were asked. Ms Jyoti and Ms Sheila were the quiz masters.

Results of the contest — Urvashi, Raghav, Chandan and Monil of Gandhi House (1), Anish, Rachit, Nishant and Sandeep of Nehru House (2), and Harjeet, Aditya, Manish and Samidhi of Tagore House (3).

A Hindi sahitya antakshri was also organised for the students of Class V. While the first few rounds were based on songs, the rest were based on Hindi poems and synonyms. Ms Vibha Sharma, Hindi teacher, Tushar Joshi and Pallavi, both Class III students, compered and coordinated the contest.

The three participating teams included Kashap, Navdeep, Sapna, Neha and Hiten of Vidhvan team, Minkush, Ekta, Deepshikha, Anish and Himanshu of Budhimaan team and Madhur, Pavik, Astha, Radhika and Jasmeen of Gunwaan team.

A story-telling competition was also held yesterday in which the 16 students of Classes Nursery and KG participated. Results of Nursery — Kritesh (1), Tushar and Shivya (2) and Raghav (3); Results of KG — Raghav (1), Raahat (2) and Ridhi (3).

Consolation prize was given to Rashmi. The contest was compered by Ms Baljinder Kaur. Principal N.Mannan gave away prizes.
