Looking back

Hermitage is the name of a celebrated wine produced on the left bank of the Rhone near Valence. There are red, white, and straw coloured varieties. It is believed that it was first grown by a hermit who built his cell (the ruins of which may still be seen) on the hill where the wine is now produced.
