HUDA plea on Tibetan
market upheld PANCHKULA, Dec 2 — Upholding the plea of HUDA seeking removal of the Tibetan market of Sector 8, the Additional District and Sessions Judge, Mr Darshan Singh today, dismissed the application of the Tibetans who had sought a stay on the removal of the market, granted by a lower court. The Tibetans had stated that while the lower court had stayed their removal, it had failed to give any indication on the opening of stalls for business purposes. Meanwhile,
HUDA, in it’s appeal had sought removal of the market on the grounds that their licence had been cancelled and the refund was available at their office. It may be recalled that the Tibetans had been allotted the site by HUDA after charging of a licence
fee. This was, however, cancelled by the state CM at a Sarkar Apke Dwar programme in the district where the local businessmen had objected to the opening of the market. Following cancellation by HUDA in compliance of the orders of the CM, the Tibetans had filed a case. |
