2 brothers beheaded in Kupwara
SRINAGAR, Nov 20 — Unidentified gunmen abducted and later beheaded two persons, both of them brothers, in Kupwara district late last night while elsewhere in the valley three militants were among four persons killed since last evening. The security forces arrested a Hizbul Mujahideen militant, Aijaz Ahmad Thokar, at Gudoora Pulwama this morning. He was allegedly involved in a number of grenade attacks on forces in Pulwama district, an official spokesman said.

1 killed, 35 hurt in bus mishap
JAMMU, Nov 20  — A bus conductor was killed and 35 passengers injured, eight of them seriously, when a state road transport bus plunged into a deep george on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway this evening.

2 brothers beheaded in Kupwara

SRINAGAR, Nov 20 (UNI) — Unidentified gunmen abducted and later beheaded two persons, both of them brothers, in Kupwara district late last night while elsewhere in the valley three militants were among four persons killed since last evening.

The security forces arrested a Hizbul Mujahideen militant, Aijaz Ahmad Thokar, at Gudoora Pulwama this morning. He was allegedly involved in a number of grenade attacks on forces in Pulwama district, an official spokesman said.

He said the security forces killed two militants at Tengpora Magam in North Kashmir last evening during a search operation. Some arms and ammunition were also seized from the slain militants.

A report from Baramula said militants abducted two brothers - Mushtaq Ahmad Wani and Nazir Ahmad Wani - from Keygam-Kandi.

Their beheaded bodies were later recovered in the nearby fields. The sources said their third brother Ghulam Hassian Wani, a police Inspector, had been killed by militants at Sopore in May this year.

1 killed, 35 hurt in bus mishap

JAMMU, Nov 20 (UNI) — A bus conductor was killed and 35 passengers injured, eight of them seriously, when a state road transport bus plunged into a deep george on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway this evening.

Official sources said here the bus was on its way from Banihal to Jammu. The driver of the bus lost control over the vehicle while negotiating a sharp curve near Kud, about 95 km from Jammu, resulting in the vehicle skidding off the road and going down a deep nullah.
