An attendee at the conference takes a look at some strange looking PCs at one of the hundreds of displays during the first day of the conference.

 

 

Microsoft software architect Bert Keely shows a prototype of a Tablet PC, a company which is developing during Bill Gate's annual "state of the industry" speech. The Tablet PC is a fully functional PC that combines the power of a desktop PC and the simplicity of pen and paper. 

 


Web reporter Bettina Rahn, of the German company WearX, shows off a wireless video camera system that allows the user to broadcast live on the internet as they go about their business. The headset camera, monitor and microphone connected using a wireless Lan can broadcast video up to 13 frames per second.

 


President and CEO of Dell Computers, Michael Dell, is silhouetted on stage as he watches his mother on a video monitor during his key note address.

Kurt Hellstrom, president of Ericsson, makes a point during his keynote speech. Hellstrom outlined the changes foreseen by him in the mobile phone industry and how the mobile Internet will enter the daily lives of everyone.
