Skeletons on Net

Hello & welcome

Windy: I am so tired and my bones are aching.

Cliparti: Why is that? What have you been up to?

Windy: I had been to another planet.

Cliparti: Now you are joking!

Windy: You don’t believe me. I’ll tell you its name; it’s the child planet _____

Fluppy: Wow! A planet all for children, isn’t it, Windy?

Windy: Yeah, Sure.

Fluppy: What did you do there?

Windy:
Oh! I had lots of fun. We played so many games, did paintings, saw cartoons, wrote and recited poems. I also became aware of, you know, reading an encyclopaedia. Oh it was a lovely place where you could read so many Hindi or English novels and poems too. I also came across poetry translation of Shrimad Bhagvadagita. My Mom is surely going to love it. You know I could send greetings to my friends.

Fluppy: Where is this planet? Can I also go there?

Windy: Sure, why not? Log on to www.childplanet.com/ and there ______

Fluppy: So that’s a Web site.

Windy: What else did you think, stupid?

Fluppy: I thought ____, never mind what I thought, but you said your bones ached. How can your bones ache when you are sitting all time and not travelling?

Windy: Of course, they ache.

Fluppy: No, they can’t.

Windy: I am telling you they can.

Fluppy: No they can’t

Cliparti: Hey guys stop this bickering and if you are so interested in bones go ahead and log on to www.littlebitsmultimedia.com/littlebits/littlebits_main.htm

Fluppy: Now, what’s that?

Cliparti: It’s a download that tells you all that you ever wanted to know about bones. Basically it has skeletal system of humans and other creatures. With interactive tutorials accompanied by colour-codes for easy identification and skeletal puzzles, this proves to be an interesting site.

Fluppy: Interesting site? This sounds more of a creepy site.

Cliparti: Why, it’s good for general awareness about bones. And it is definitely good for aspiring anatomy students.

Fluppy: Why would anyone like to study anatomy when there are such decent subjects like arts, sciences, social studies.

Windy: And there are such wonderful sites like www.kidsvista.com/index.htm with will teach you all these subjects. This is an exclusive on-line approved educational resource store. There are also links to external lists of material on each subject which more advanced students can browse for further information. What’s more it offers to give you your suggestions on other sites that you have visited and if you would like them to be included on the kids Web site. Then there is a cool homework help here that would help you finish your homework at a snap of your fingers.

Fluppy: Wow! That’s real cool. Now you tell me when there are such nice sites on such nice subjects why would anybody want to study anatomy.

Cliparti: Fluppy, you really are so stupid. For doctors and surgeons won’t the study of bones be essential? Just as aspiring astronauts would love the study of stars and universe, wouldn’t an aspiring orthopaedic love the study of bones?

Fluppy: Now that you mention it, I think I understand.

Windy: Anyhow, I have a good site for you, Fluppy.

Fluppy: What is it?

Windy: It’s where you can create and play. You can have all cyberfun, and venture into the kids gallery. There are comics and cartoons, hobby sections and pen pals. You will find toys, art & crafts and some sesame street fun.

Fluppy: Wow!

Windy: You can also create your own wallpaper and take part in several of its contests. Log on to www.mamamedia.netscape.com/create_play.htm and find all this and more for yourself.

Cliparti: You know there is another of this wonderful site for us kids. It’s at http://www.wekids.org/. Here you can hear special songs, get colourable pages and links to various other explorable sites. You also get free wekids stickers.

Windy: This is nothing compared to all that you get at www.kidwaresoftware.com. It has a variety of software for all age groups. Be it a pre-schooler or an eighth grader or an adult learning Visual Basic, all have something for them. Young ones can learn counting or matching pairs of letters numbers, shapes, colours or typing skills. A little older ones have spelling games, multiplication facts and then further you can learn physics and other sciences through science fairs. Then there are logic games and of course for grown ups there are various tutorials on programming.

Cliparti: That sure is a nice stuff and lots too.

Fluppy: I really find sites like this quite confusing. It is so difficult to remember things.

Windy: Then in that case I have an interesting site for you. It will increase your retention power and help you in memorising information easily. Flash cards really help in memorising. This is a complete computer program to facilitate the whole flashcard process. It makes studying easier and is one of the best computer-based study aids. In fact, even a computer novice will love it as it can help even those who are not familiar with computers.

Fluppy: Hmm that’s nice. Where can I find it?

Windy: Log on to http://www.123flashme.com and then study, review or learn flashcards on computer. You may print them for personal use and even distribute or exchange it with your friends. It also includes more than 30 useful tips that are sure to increase your vocabulary and improve grades and retention skills.

Fluppy: Okay, I’ll remember to log in for this. But hey, wait. I forgot the address of this site.

Windy: I have already told you. Its http://www.123flashme.com, I think you badly need to go through this site at once.

Fluppy: At once??
