BVM win football tourney

LUDHIANA, Oct 29 — Bharatiya Vidya Mandir (BVM) School, Ludhiana, clinched the football title in the 14th Sarvhitkari Inter-School State Sports Meet which concluded here today. The hosts defeated the Sarvhitkari Vidya Mandir,SVM, Talwara, 4-1, in a one-sided match.

BVM dominated the match from the very beginning.Yogesh Sharma of BVM who played at half back position, kicked the first goal in the 10th minute. The second goal was scored by Amandeep Singh in the 22nd minute.

In the second half Amandeep again scored a goal in the third minute.Later, Yogesh Sharma made the score 4-0 in the 20th minute. Only, Rajan of SVM could score a goal for his team.

In other events SVM, Morinda, won the volleyball championship by defeating SVM, Mamoon Cant, Pathankot, 3-0 ,( 25-23, 25-21, 25-16). SVM, Fazilka, won the basketball championship by defeating Sharda Sarvhitkari Model School, Chandigarh, 19-17. Back
