Honour for Samrala don LUDHIANA Dr Sharma’s paper explores the Indian - Sri Lankan and Australian cultures as treated and illustrated in the Indian-Asian diasporic literature of Australia. Fifty eminent writers, scholars and teachers of English from universities and colleges in Australia, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and India attended this conference. The subject of concern was the inter-relationships among India, Australia, New Zealand and other Asian countries aiming at finding out ways as to how these countries could come closer in matters of common interest. More than 40 research papers were presented on Indo-Australian Literature by teachers, scholars and writers of international repute. |
