Rain Rain, rain pouring rain, some of the water, goes down the drain. Don’t get wet. Don’t get cold. If you’re wet, it’s because it’s shivering cold. Don’t be happy. Don’t be snappy. See the rain pouring down, look at the lions roaring now. Shower is power, see it now, look at the hour, pouring now. See the water, slaughtering now, look at the sun, crying now. Look at the clouds, dark and black, see the shiver. In the flowing river. Look at the sun, rising now, see the light, as morning bright. Rain has gone, come back again and, see the world and, me again. — Arun Venkatachalam, Chennai |
Happy birthday Happy birthday to you, friend, though it’s a different trend. I’d loved to wish you, today, in a very special way. Which I hope, you’ll like, and love it more than a bike. I wonder whether you remember me or not, But I can’t forget those lovely moments, and the way we always fought. Anyway, today I pray to God, to grant you all the happiness, thank you Lord. And I wish you a long happy life, hope you won’t forget me, while cutting that creamy cake with a smooth knife. I hope you get every thing you desire. Once again, happy birthday to you, friend. — Aarti Goyal, BA-I GCG, Chandigarh |
