1.TCP/IP: The
Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol or TCP/IP is the basic
communication or protocol of the Internet. However, it can also be
used as a communications protocol in the private networks called
intranets and in extranets. TCP/IP is a two-layered programme.
2.SMPS: It
refers to the main power supply of your computer, which is placed at
the top of your computer.
3.Mouse: Mouse
is a computer-input device. It is a plastic case about the same size
of mouse with a ball embedded on its bottom side. There are two
buttons on its top and a cable that connects the mouse to the computer
system. It relays speed and direction and helps in guiding a pointer
across the screen. It also lets the user perform actions like
pointing, clicking and dragging.
4.WWW: Stands
for World Wide Web. WWW is a collection of linked pages on network,
which are easily assessable and provides informations.
5.CD-ROM:
CD-ROM is a drive that facilitates recording, retrieving and storing
of data on a compact disk (CD). Through CD-ROM drive you can only read
the information and cannot write anything on the disk.
6.DVD: It
stands for Digital Versatile Disk. DVD is an advancement of CD-ROM
disk and has a better storage capacity. With it, a new disk can
efficiently store video and audio data. The DVD uses the MPEG
standards file and compression standard.
7.Search engine: Search engine
is a site on Internet, which helps in locating information available
on the World Wide Web. By typing in keywords, matching results can be
found on the Internet in the form of Web sites and Web pages.
