MUSIC director Jawahar Wattal has created a sensation with stars such as Baba Sehgal,Daler Mehndi, Shubha Mudgal,Shweta Shetty, Hema Sardesai, Bhupi, Hans Raj Hans, Shanker Sahni and Maninder Mahi. The man who played a pivotal role in the creation of the Indi-pop industry claims to have found a new superstar in Delhi-based pop singer Rishi Prasad.Rishi Prasad is a new face on the Indi-pop scene. He promises to come up with something new and exciting. "A dream, a passion, a desire, to create, to express, to perform on a canvas as had never been imagined before. It was this fire that burned deep within me," said Rishi Parsad in an interview. After working abroad in radio,
television and the fashion world with the top names on
the international scene like Lane Crawford, Sarah Waituk,
Karl Legerfield, Issey Miyaki, Issac Mizrahi and a host
of others , Rishi Prasad was back looking for something
exciting to dabble in. Even after performing in the
Wembley Stadium, at London and doing signature shows with
the top fashion designers in the world, Rishi still
sought something deeper within himself. After a break, Rishi Prasad felt he was ready to storm the citadel of entertainment again. A chance meeting with Jawahar Wattal led to the idea of Rishi singing under his direction. Hence an Indi-pop album Tu Goriya was conceived . The soon to be launched Tu Goriya carries the dance numbers that Jawahar Wattal is famous for, alongwith a breathtaking freshness of musical approach. The beat of this album is funky, the vocals are strong and the lyrics easy. The rhythm of the album is unbeatable. The album contains dance tracks, alongwith soul-stirring Sufi rock and some very beautiful ballads. Rishi Prasads voice stands out for its richness of texture. With Jawahar Wattal backing his project he seems to have got off to an ideal start. "Success is just a matter of showing up and the ride has only just begun. Do not lay any bets on where it is going to stop" says this talented young man. Poised to take the world by storm there is a lot Rishi Prasad has to feel happy about. |
