APROPOS of Khushwant Singhs column "Why not leave God alone" (May 6), there are six basic psychological needs of man i.e. the need for love, the need for security, the need for creativity, the need for recognition, the need for identity and above all, the need for God and religion. A question often asked is whether man can live without God. The belief in God provides protection against moral disorder. Only true faith in God can give meaning to life. O.P. SHARMA |
II I agree with the writer that God will not be back but godliness will be back. But we cannot leave God alone. He is everywhere. We all need Gods blessing during trying times. He is the creator of the universe. Whether or not we admit it, we all need God. When things go wrong, faith in Him gives us hope. PUNITA
