Although this type of star chart looks exactly the same as one for a human, naturally an astrologer does not try to analyse it in human terms. its gentle nature so, if you have a Piscean dog or cat,
remember that it has a natural desire to belong to and be
dependent on you because you are the person it loves.
However, do not be surprised if it disappears for hours
on end to some favourite hideaway. A beautiful cat was
born on a friend’s wedding anniversary —
January 30 — in the star sign of Aquarius. We called
him Chikki and true to Aquarian type, he was friendly
almost to a fault and insisted on sitting on the lap of
every visitor. Chikki knew a particular friend who often
called on us disliked cats and it was amazing to see how
that cat became determined to win her over, always giving
her more attention than other friends and little by
little, he won the battle. Finally our friend came to
love Chikki almost as much as we did. So if you have an Aquarian pet, don’t think it loves you any the less just because it likes to be everybody’s friend. If your pet was born between March 21 and April 21, it has the sun in Aries so you have a little bundle of energy on your hands. It is not fair to keep this animal locked up in a home unit because it needs a chance to race around a garden, farm or even a park where it can use up all that natural vitality. Above all, your Aries pet loves to be busy and active. A word of warning: since this zodiac sign is related to the head, you must be alert for signs of injury or disease affecting this part of the body. A human being born in either Taurus or Scorpio can be very possessive and so, gain a sense of satisfaction from owing things. Therefore, if you are so inclined and your pet is included in your list of possessions, you need to avoid having a pet born in Sagittarius, because it has an independent nature and likes to roam. It is likely that, just when you want companionship, your Sagittarian pet will not be around — unless, of course, you keep it locked in doors which would be very cruel for an animal born in this star sign. The Taurus or Scorpio person would appreciate the sympathetic emotional response which is found in pets born in Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces. Show a little affection and they will return a lot of love. In the same way that a Cancerian person appreciates the cosy feeling of a happy home and family, a Cancerian animal will also make itself very much at home and will like nothing better than to be allowed in- doors to be with the family. If a true-to-type Leo dog or cat could talk, it probably would be to say: — "Look at me, aren’t I beautiful?" And that certainly is true, for almost any pet born in this star sign has a special something which radiates across to those it loves. This is an extremely affectionate, outgoing, warm-hearted little soul but owners of such pets never should forget that they need lots of attention and appreciation especially in the form of love and affection. Never ignore your Leo pet nor take it for granted because it can just as easily starve from lack of love as from lack of food. People who don’t care about their animals should not have them in the first place. But if, for some reason, you don’t have much time to devote to a pet but still want to have one, you should choose an animal born in the more self-sufficient star signs, such as Aries and Sagittarius, which will always find interesting things to do when you are not around. Although a Capricorn animal can have a long life, you should watch for signs of rheumatism or bone problems as it grows older. If you have a Virgo pet, remember that it likes its own quarters to be clean and well kept, so give extra attention to the basket. Gemini pets are restless, highly strung, always on the go and love the companionship of people and other animals, even of different species. I knew of one Gemini cat which formed a lasting friendship with a blue-tongue lizard and I have seen them sitting for hours , side by side in the sun. And talking of togetherness, we must not forget Libra pets which are so naturally affectionate they can easily win the heart of most people. Physically Librans are appealing with the males handsome and the females beautiful. However, these pets are not happy when they have to love under harsh conditions, they love their comfort far too much to rough it out. |
