All geared up for Budget session

JAMMU, Feb 18 —Arrangements with regard to the ensuing Budget session of the state legislative were reviewed at a meeting held here yesterday. The Divisional commissioner, Jammu, Mr Anil Goswami, presided.

The meeting discussed in detail the arrangements regarding security, uninterrupted supply of drinking water and electricity, renovation and repair of Assembly and legislative council halls, parking of vehicles, issuance of passes to mediapersons, printing of Assembly related documents, etc.

Those present at the meeting were informed that all arrangements regarding media coverage of Assembly proceedings in both Houses had been made by the Information Department. The list of mediapersons for their independent coverage of both Houses had also been sent to the secretaries of both Houses for the issuance of passes. The public address system was being installed in both Houses to ensure an alternative arrangement in case of power cuts during proceedings.

The Director, Estates, said the repair and renovation of both halls was in progress.

The SSP, Security, stated that security arrangements in and outside the legislative halls, including the MLA hostel, had been made.
