Withering harmony
By Vimla Patil

Probably the most common cause of the growing number of divorces is the fact that urban and rural Indian families of the upper class and middle class do not seem to mind a divorce in the family anymore. Parents and friends of a young man or woman are very supportive of the break-up of a bad marriage and there is no stigma attached to either party.
