Friday: Monsoon has been active in Punjab. Rain has occurred at many places in Punjab and Himachal Pradesh and at a few places in Haryana. The chief amounts of rain fall in cms are: Amritsar 14, Narayangarh 9, Noorpur, Paunta Sahib and Jagadhari 7 each; Mehre and Rl-1700 (Sutlej Beas catchment area) 6 each; Nangal Dam and Nalagarh 5 each. Amloh , Chandigarh, Patiala, Nahan, Solan and Sirhind 4 each; Ropar, Kahu, Barthin and Nagrota Suriyan 3 each; Ambala, Ludhiana, Balachaur, Nawanshahr, Gamroor, Nadaun and Hamipur 2 each; Arki, Shimla, Sujanpur Tira, Guler, Garhshanker, Malerkotla, Parvin and Chhachrauli one each.

Forecast: Moderate to heavy rain is likely at many places in Himachal Pradesh and at a few places in Punjab. Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at a few places in Haryana.
