My favourite fruit

Mango Mango you are very nice
In a day I eat you thrice
Mango Mango you are very sweet
You are the one who can beat the heat
Mango Mango you are very green
You can keep the environment clean
Rich get fruit and poor get shade
Mango Mango you are very great.

— Sahil Sarin

Happiness in tears

Tears are falling from my eyes,
They are of a leaf’s size.
Splash-splash on the ground,
Tears are falling all around.
But these are the tears of happiness,
Which can never grow less.
I feel like the rising sun,
Whose life has just begun.
Though I know my sun will set,
The happiness of life makes my eyes wet.

— Priyam Mahajan

Lizards

A shiver runs down my spine
I open my mouth to shout,
Whenever I see a lizard,
Inside my house or out.
Lizards, oh! These lizards
They give me the creeps
And there is not one place in the world
Where they are unable to reach.
They seem to be everywhere
On doors, curtains & walls.
I am scared of everyone of them.
Brown, Green & all.
They are so unreliable
They‘ll fall on anyone
One also fell on top of me
And I jumped and screamed at once.
I can never sleep in a room
Where there is a lizard on its wall
I am scared of everyone of them
I am scared of lizards after all!

— Khushboo Singh
