I am 34 years old. I saw squirrels playing in my dream. One of them came and sat on my shoulder.

Usha Kiran, Chandigarh

Squirrels stand for pleasant times and monetary advancements. Petting them and having them close to you signifies happiness.

I am a 60-year-old mother of two married daughters. Recently I dreamt of standing in an open space outside my native village. Nobody else was there. All of a sudden I saw a bull charging towards me. I called out to my brother who died recently. I got no reply, but the bull stopped.

Kulwant Kaur, Mansa

The dream could be a reflection of a similar experience in the past. Since your brother expired recently, it would be natural to dream of him. It also portrays that his demise has not yet sunk in. Though you do not see your brother, you seem to feel his presence in the dream — as the bull stops when you call out your brother’s name.

I am 16 years old. I dreamt of reading a book but was unable to remember anything.

Mohit Shah, Kapurthala

To dream of reading denotes that you shall excel in work that appears difficult. But your inability to understand what you have read implies disappointments and worries. But don’t worry, there is always a silver lining to every dark cloud.

I am 24 years old. I have done M. Com and am planning to start my own business. Twice, last week, I dreamt of climbing a ladder to reach a high platform. Is this a lucky omen?

Satish Kaushik, Panchkula

This certainly is a propitious dream. Ascending a ladder foretells that you shall attain success in business affairs. It promises happiness too.

I am a student of Class X. In my dreams I often see myself swimming in a swimming pool. Suddenly I begin to drown. I cry for help but no one comes to rescue me. I am scared that this might happen in my real life too.

Praveen Kumar, Naya Nangal

Have no such fears, Praveen. But the dream does come as a warning to step carefully for the next few days. There will be responsibilities thrust on you. Make sure you carry them out fully. Be less dependent on others. Don’t expect people to help you out every time you are faced with a problem.
