USA blacklists 240 Indian units
Sanctions to focus on N-needs
WASHINGTON, Nov 14 — The USA has brought out a list of 240 Indian and over 140 Pakistani government agencies and companies which have been barred from importing American products. A senior State Department official said that the lists include government agencies and their affiliated lease companies.

Army officer killed in J&K
JAMMU, Nov 14 — Seven persons, including one Army officer, were killed in three separate incidents in the Jammu region today. Two Army officers were injured.

Pak terms dialogue as "barren rounds"
ISLAMABAD, Nov 14 — Pakistan has described the just concluded Indo-Pakistan composite dialogue on six identified issues as "barren rounds" and blamed India for its failure due to its "intransigence and lack of sincerity".

Taxes driving away exporters
KARNAL: Basmati exporters from Haryana are facing a serious crisis. The crisis relates not only to the financial crunch but also to the complex taxes levied by the Haryana Government. As a result a number of exporters who earlier had set up their units in Haryana are slowly shifting to other places.
