Indo-Pak deadlock over Siachen
Map of Jammu &KashmirNEW DELHI, Nov 6 — The deadlock on the Siachen issue between India and Pakistan continued with Islamabad today rejecting New Delhi’s proposal of a comprehensive ceasefire in the area as a first step towards paving the way for redeployment and disengagement of troops in the highest battlefield of the world where firing has been going on for quite some time.

NEW DELHI, Nov 6 — In a major announcement to meet the country’s power requirements, the Centre today introduced a 12-year plan titled "Power Vision-2010" having a provision of de facto counter-guarantee for mega power projects.

ED to probe charges against Virbhadra
SHIMLA, Nov 6 — Acting at a feverish pitch to meet today's deadline fixed by the Himachal Vikas Congress chief, Mr Sukh Ram, for the ruling BJP to order a CBI probe against the former Chief Minister, Mr Virbhadra Singh, the state government asked the Enforcement Department to inquire into certain allegations.
