To Didi ... with love

DIDI, as I remember,
in my mind’s chamber.
I think and realise,
those days were so nice.
We were young and gay,
all the games we used to play.
We sung, danced and cooked,
but now all our time is booked.
You are now away and married,
I miss those tea times,
and those musical bell chimes.
This Christmas I’ll miss you more,
for you are in my hearts core.
Didi, those days are gone for- ever,
Now that you are miles afar.
But sisters have to go apart
For true hearts always part.
Still love binds us today
Which shall make us happy once again.
