Financial crisis grips Punjab
CHANDIGARH, Dec 10 — Punjab has been hit by a serious financial crisis with the Reserve Bank of India asking all banks not to honour any cheque issued by the State.

Striking staff to be video-filmed
ROHTAK, Dec 10 — Besides marking attendance every two hours, the government has advised Deputy Commissioners to video-film employees who participate in the strike tomorrow. The call for the strike has been given by the Haryana Sarv Karamchari Sangh and the Jan Sangathan Manch, Haryana unit.
