Marital discord: 32-yr-old Mauli Jagran resident ends his life

Chandigarh, December 15

A 32-year-old resident of Mauli Jagran ended his life by hanging himself from a ceiling at his residence this morning.

The deceased, identified as Bhupinder Singh of Mauli Jagran complex, was reportedly under depression following a marital dispute. However, no suicide note was recovered from the spot. A case has been registered.

According to the investigating officer in the case, Bhupinder was found hanging by a neighbour on Monday. The police were informed and the victim was rushed to the Civil Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

Ram Rattan, In-charge, Mauli Jagran police post, said, “Neighbours said the couple had a heated argument on Sunday night. Following the argument, the victim left his wife and two children to a relative’s place and returned home the same day.” — TNS
