Ludhiana, December 17

Schools across the city observed silence to mourn the massacre of 141 students by terrorists in Army Public School in Pakistan.

A special assembly was held at Guru Nanak Public School, Sarabha Nagar, to condole the massacre. The students and teachers condemned. Two minute silence was observed to pray for the innocent young children who fell to the bullets of merciless terrorists. Principal Mona Singh said the attack was a shame on humanity and we all share the pain of the bereaved families.

Meanwhile, moved by the brutal act of mass killing in the Army School of Pakistan, management, staff and students of Spring Dale Public School condemned the massacre. Expressing grief, MD Avinash Kaur Walia said killing students at a sacred place like school was a shameful act and assassination of humanity.

Also, an assembly conducted at Peace Public School expressed its solidarity with the people of Pakistan to fight against terrorism. Principal CK Jeeja expressed the message of condolence to all the parents in Pakistan who lost their children in this barbarous act. A two minutes silence was also observed as homage to the departed souls. This was followed by ‘Run for Peace’.

The students of classes III and IV of DCM Presidency School lit candles in front of a statue of Mahatma Gandhi and prayed for the children who lost their lives in the massacre.
