A day after the police booked a woman for killing her husband and burying his body, it has come to light that lodging a complaint of rape and kidnapping against her paramour proved to be the undoing of the woman, Binder Kaur.

Sources said in police custody the woman’s paramour, Sarabjit Singh, allegedly revealed the story behind the mysterious disappearance of the woman’s husband.

Today, the police sent a team to Amritsar to arrest the woman, Binder Kaur.

The sources said Binder, who is living in Amritsar for the past two years, had met Sarabjit a few months ago. Soon, both of them developed intimate relations. Binder reportedly revealed the truth behind her husband’s mysterious disappearance to Sarabjit.

In the meantime, Binder took Rs 50,000 and a mobile phone from Sarabjit’s house on the pretext that she would return it soon.

The sources said Binder did not return the money, following which Sarabjit came to Ludhiana and allegedly kidnapped Binder’s son.

Binder lodged a complaint at the helpline number, 181. Soon, the Ladhowal Police swung into action. On December 12, Sarabjit was arrested on the charge of rape and kidnapping.

On witnessing trouble, Sarabjit narrated the killing story to the police. Further, the police allegedly informed Gurdeep, victim’s brother, about the development in the case.
