Man dies of burns

A 45-year-old resident of Sidhbari who was admitted to the Dr Rajindra Prasad Government Medical College (DRPGMC) at Tanda with 75 per cent burn injuries last night succumbed to his burn injuries today, the police said.

A 45-year-old resident of Sidhbari who was admitted to the Dr Rajindra Prasad Government Medical College (DRPGMC) at Tanda with 75 per cent burn injuries last night succumbed to his burn injuries today, the police said.

The police said the victim, identified as Sheer Singh, was sitting beside a fire for staying warm when he suddenly fell over it and his clothes caught fire. He was rushed to the (DRPGMC) by his family members.

The body was handed over to the family members after a postmortem.

The police have started investigation under Section 174 of the CPC.
