Jammu, December 15

A delegation of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC), led by its president, Subash Shastri, called on Governor NN Vohra here at Raj Bhawan today.

The delegation voiced its concerns over the continuing delay in the regularisation of daily wage workers in various government departments, engaged from 1994 onwards, separate budgets in every department for regular disbursement of wages to the daily wagers, release of pending dearness allowance, timely disbursement of general providence fund advance and pensionary benefits to employees of the Public Sector Undertakings.

The Governor observed that the delegation’s demands would be taken up with the authorities.
