Tae kwon do team joins training camp

The Indian tae kwon do team joined the ongoing training camp at Pestle Weed School here on Thursday.



Dehradun, December 13

The Indian tae kwon do team joined the ongoing training camp at Pestle Weed School here on Thursday. The team will participate in the 4th International Tae kwon do Championship.

The players were Subodh Awale, Himanshu Pipraya, Vijay S Kuhite, Sanjeev Kumar, Kaushal, Abhimanyu, Reema Sharma, Manpreet Kaur, Shalini Singh, Sangeeta Devi and Shyama Shah. The team is being trained by Vishnu Sharma, Satpal Rehal, KK Bisht and Neepa Singh.

“Motive behind the camp is to train players for the championship and to promote tae kwon do,” said Surya Kant Dhasmana, president of the Uttarakhand Tae kwon do Association. The Uttarakhand Tae kwon do Association will organise All-India Uttarakhand Tae kwon do Cup in May 2015. — TNS
