KAITHAL , DECEMBeR 22

SDM RK Singh conducted surprise inspection at the District Social Welfare office to check the attendance of staff.

The SDM took into his possession the attendance and movement register. He found that three clerks had sent leave applications that were not sanctioned by the District Social Welfare Officer. Another clerk was found absent, while a staff member had left for Guhla on official duty in the morning after making an entry into the movement register. However, he too was found skipping duty following a telephonic inquiry by the SDM .

The SDM said he would submit a report to Deputy Commissioner KM Pandurang for further action in the matter. He asked the staff to maintain proper cleanliness in the office and remain available to the people for redress of their grievances. He threatened strict action against those found absent during office hours. — OC
