Nearly 3 lakh Indian-Americans are likely to be impacted by the Trump administration’s plans that put the nation’s 11 million undocumented immigrants at risk of deportation

Trump has laid the groundwork for potentially deporting millions of undocumented immigrants by issuing new guidance that broadens the ways to enforce immigration laws

“Department personnel have full authority to arrest or apprehend an alien whom an immigration officer has probable cause to believe is in violation of the immigration laws,” the Department of Homeland Security said

British Muslim teacher denied entry 

A 25-year-old Bangladeshi-origin British Muslim teacher travelling on a school trip from Iceland to New York was allegedly denied entry to the US despite a valid visa.  Juhel Miah and a group of children and other teachers were about to take off from Reykjavik on February 16 on their way to the US when he was removed from the plane. Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council has written to the US Embassy here to express its dismay at the treatment of one of its employees
