Shahid starrer being shot in New Tehri

These days the shooting of Hindi film “Batti Gul Meter Chalu” with a star caste of Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor is in full swing in New Tehri.

Today the residents of Tehri were able to catch the glimpses of both the stars as the shooting took place in the market place at Bauradi. A large number or local residents gathered to watch the shooting as Shradha and Shahid gave their shots. During the shooting, Shahid Kapoor was seen zooming down the market while riding a motorcycle. Eyewitnesses said, both the stars interacted with the fans and waved at them.

Some of the film scenes have also been shot at a private house and a private hotel.  Shahid Kapoor is essaying the role of a local boy hailing from Garhwal, while Shraddha Kapoor is playing the role of a local girl Lalita Nautiyal.

Director of the film Shree Narayan Singh said, “The film traces the travails of a man who has to face frequent power cuts”. The film, being produced under the banner of KriArj Entertainment, is slated to releases on August 31. Earlier the mahurut of the film was done by Chief Minister TS Rawat in Dehradun.
