Select NGOs to be given grants for social welfare

Dehradun, May 18

As many as 70 NGOs from Uttarakhand and Himachal participated in a capacity-building symposium — ‘Corporate Social Responsibility for National Building’ — held here on Friday.

The symposium, organised by HCL technologies, laid emphasis on capacity building of NGOs working in the remote hilly rural locations of the two states.

  Nidhi Pundhir, director, CSR, and head, HCL Foundation, said through these symposiums, best NGOs working in the  areas of health, environment and education would be identified and given grants for social welfare. — TNS
