Dehradun, April 21
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit Kedarnath on April 29, the day when the portals of the Himalayan shrine will be thrown open for devotees. Though government officials are yet to get a confirmation, on Friday Chief Minister TS Rawat had dropped a hint about the PM’s possible visit.
The Rudraprayag administration is tight-lipped on the matter, but some officials said they were
prepared for any such visit. “Several important leaders usually make it a point to visit the temple on the opening days,” they said.
