Modi, Shah to visit Doon

DEHRADUN:Uttarakhand BJP has begun preparations for the proposed visit of BJP national president Amit Shah on June 24 to Dehradun.

Dehradun, June 19

Uttarakhand BJP has begun preparations for the proposed visit of BJP national president Amit Shah on June 24 to Dehradun.

Shah is likely to take stock of the party's delivery on various campaigns that were assigned by him. He will hold meetings with the office-bearers of various units and the core group.

It will be Shah's second visit to the state after the BJP came to power in September last year.

During his two-day visit last year, Shah had assigned several tasks to the party workers. The BJP leaders claimed that all the tasks had been completed and a report had also been submitted to the Central leadership of the party.

Ajay Bhatt, state BJP chief, said the party was awaiting a formal approval of his visit. "Though we have begun preparations for his visit, but a formal approval is still awaited," said Bhatt. — TNS
