SC asks BCCI to release funds for Dharamsala Test

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Friday asked administrators of the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) to release funds to Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association to host the fourth Test between India and Australia.

The Supreme Court on Friday asked administrators of the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) to release funds to Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association to host the fourth Test between India and Australia.

The court asked the Committee of Administrators to honour BCCI’s obligations to fund state associations to host cricket matches, while asking the board, franchise and state associations to honour their contractual terms of holding the Indian Premier League, which begins on April 5.

The fourth Test between India and Australia will begin at Dharamsala on Saturday. — Agencies
