New Zealand’s muddled use of the review system allowed Faf du Plessis and Hashim Amla to lead a South African recovery on a rain-hit Day 1 of the third Test. The hosts lost their reviews by the 29th over, and were powerless when the umpires missed an edge which should have seen du Plessis caught behind.
