Water woes: Sunam MLA to start fast

SANGRUR: AAP co-convener and MLA Aman Arora today announced to start a hunger strike within the next two or three days to protest water shortage even during the winter season in Sunam city.

AAP co-convener and MLA Aman Arora today announced to start a hunger strike within the next two or three days to protest water shortage even during the winter season in Sunam city. He accused officers of deliberately delaying the repair of a faulty tubewell and other efforts needed to improve the water supply.

Executive Officer (EO) of the Nagar Council Sunam Rakesh Kumar confirmed that a tubewell had been out of order and said they were trying to ensure its immediate repair. — TNS
